La Quinta is the Gem of the desert.

It’s a perfect warm winter retreat nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains between Indian Wells and Indio.

This beautiful town has more holes of golf per square mile than any other city in the country. There is the SilverRock public golf course with 18 championship holes. Carved by time by some of the oldest and newest mountain ranges in North America is PGA West the new host to the annual PGA CareerBuilder Challenge.

Throughout the city there are gourmet and casual eateries and high energy sports bars and pubs. Old Town La Quinta is host to wine tasting events, a weekly farmers market offering fresh local produce, art festivals featuring sculptures, oil paintings, and blown glass. Old Town also has many great restaurants, pubs, boutique coffee shops and clothing stores.

With the Santa Rosa Mountains as its backdrop, the 5 star Waldorf-Astoria La Quinta Resort * Club has been a desert getaway for the Hollywood elite since its opening in the 1920s.

La Quinta, bordered by the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, is home to the world famous Coachella Fest, Stagecoach, and Desert Trip music festivals. Also, in early January the 4 day Southwest Arts Festival features 240 artists from around the world. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Events in North America by Travel Magazine, the festival includes traditional, contemporary and abstract fine works of art and quality crafts.

There are a variety of medical facilities, an exceptional International Baccalaureate High School. For the outdoor enthusiast, the nature trail offers a beautiful path through the Santa Rosa foothills.
